Lorraine is a student at Patterson Park High School in Hairspray's fictionalized version of Baltimore. She is also a member of The Corny Collins Show's monthly Rhythm and Blues Day special, better known as Negro Day. In Hairspray, she is first seen dancing in detention.
Lorraine appears in both the 2007 film and the musical, bur not the original 1988 film.
