Joey is a student at Patterson Park High School in Hairspray's Baltimore, and a council member on WYZT's The Corny Collins Show.
Appearance[]
Joey looks younger than his male cast mates. He has black hair which he wears gelled in a parted long comb over.
During "The Nicest Kids in Town" and "(The Legend of) Miss Baltimore Crabs," he wears a blue suit, white button up shirt, black shoes, and a black tie. During the finale, he wears the same costume as the rest of male council members, a while jacket, white button up shirt, black bow-tie, black slacks, and black dress shoes.
Hairspray (2007)[]
Joey is first seen on the set of The Corny Collins Show. He is introduced offscreen during "The Nicest Kids in Town,"but can be seen clearly behind Lou Ann.
Joey is later seen rehearsing with Velma Von Tussle and the other council members when Tracy auditions for the empty spot on the show. Along with his fellow male cast mates, Joey dances with Velma during "(The Legend of) Miss Baltimore Crabs." He, Paulie, and Brad are the three to carry her before she addresses those auditioning.
During "(It's) Hairspray" he is one of the four male dancers, including Link Larkin, to introduce Amber Von Tussle and spray her with hairspray.

Hairspray (2007) doubled the number of council members on The Corny Collins Show compared to other versions, adding Joey along with Becky, Darla, Noreen, Doreen, Vicki, Mikey, Bix, Jessie and Paulie.
