Franklin Von Tussle in the 1988 adaption of Hairspray.
Franklin Von Tussle is the husband of Velma Von Tussle and the father of Amber Von Tussle and is one of the main antagonists of the Hairspray (1988) and is never seen or mentioned in the musical or Hairspray (2007).
He is the owner of an amusement park called Tilted Acres, and intends to keep it in business by keeping it segregated by race. He is portrayed by Sonny Bono.
In the 2007 film, Velma mentions having a husband who suffocates, but it is unknown whether or not his name was Franklin.
