Corey Reynolds originated the role of Seaweed J. Stubbs for the Broadway Production of Hairspray the musical. Reynolds is an actor both on the stage and off. He has appeared in the films Straight Out of Compton and Selma, as well as playing David Gabriel on The Closer.
Reynolds was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actor (Featured Role-Musical) in 2003 for his role in Hairspray.[1][2]
